Some RPM packages

Intro

I wanted to share some of the packages I have tweaked/created in order to install them on my Linux systems (I use Red Hat Linux).

The reason behind preparing them is one of

This is the place where I will publish them.

Please feel free to report bugs/send patches/etc. in order to enhance them. The same applies to the pages of the site and my poor english.

Preparation/build environment

Available packages

I hope being able to put on-line some more soon.

Cyrus IMAP/POP server
An high performance and very scalable mail store and retrieval system from Carnegie Mellon University. For more information about the software visit http://asg.web.cmu.edu/cyrus/.

Modified RHL 6.2 packages
Updated RPMs of some packages (initscripts, sndconfig, kudzu, mkinitrd) that read/modify /etc/conf.modules to avoid problems when upgrading to the modutils version in the official errata from Red Hat.

For installation/rebuilding instructions follow the link listed above for Cyrus because the process is very similar.

db3
NOTE: These rpm packages are obsolete because Red Hat has recently published official rpm packages of db3. See http://www.redhat.com/support/errata/RHEA-2001-015.html.

RPM packages of the db3 Berkeley embedded database system from SleepyCat (http://www.sleepycat.com/). The packages are identical to the ones for RHL 6.x you can find on www.rpm.org (I think they prepare/maintain them to help people trying rpm 4 on these systems so they are doing a favor to those of us wanting to install Cyrus IMAPd on Red Hat Linux 6.2 because it also needs db3 ;-) plus a little specfile fix.

drac
RPM packages of the drac (Dynamic Relay Authorization Control) daemon. For more information about the software visit http://mail.cc.umanitoba.ca/drac/.

For installation/rebuilding instructions follow some of the links above because the process is very similar.

psad - Port Scan Attack Detector
A program written in Perl that is designed to work with Linux firewalling code (iptables in the 2.4.x kernels, and ipchains in the 2.2.x kernels) to detect port scans. For more information about the software visit http://www.cipherdyne.com/.

For installation/rebuilding instructions follow some of the links above because the process is very similar.

AMaViS - A Mail Virus Scanner
RPM packages of amavisd (3rd. generation AMaViS) ready to be interfaced with the Postfix MTA plus all the necessary packages (Perl modules and an updated file command). For more information about the software visit http://www.amavis.org/.

For installation/rebuilding instructions follow some of the links above because the process is very similar.

Cistron RADIUS server
A free implementation of a RADIUS server by Miquel van Smoorenburg.

For installation/rebuilding instructions follow some of the links above because the process is very similar.

GPG public key

You can download my GPG public key, which I used to sign some of the rpm packages (I will sign the rest soon uploading new releases) from here.
